Located in the heart of downtown Marshalltown, the Historic Tremont Building was built in 1874. Poised between Center and First Streets, The Tremont property is a city landmark and has shared its space with founding fathers and businesses. The Tremont was named the Official Best Small Hotel in Iowa for 2009. Each guest room is individually decorated and plushly appointed with thick, comfortable bathrobes for lounging, ironing boards, irons, hairdryers and spa bath amenities. A Butler's Kitchen is located down the hall for guest's convenience offering an assortment of beverages and snacks. Guests have a choice of three restaurants located directly downstairs with menus ranging from full breakfasts and lunches, casual fine dining with full bar and wine service to a sports cafe with 9 high definition T.V.'s. A private conference room seats up to 12, private parties may book the Tremont Grille in the evenings for seating up to 75.
