Property Description

Otentic is the first and only tented Glamping site in MauritiusWe are based on the east coast of Mauritius in a small village called 'Deux Freres' on the bank of Grande Riviere South East, the longest river of Mauritius. The lodge is ideally located at canoeing distance halfway from the waterfall and the crystal 22kms lagoon of ile aux cerfs, the most beautiful sandy islet of Mauritius. We have 12 safari tents, each with its own bathroom. We generate our own energy through photovoltaic panels and solar water heaters, we sort our waste and harvest rainwater. We have built Otentic exclusively from wood and recycled materials. Our objective at Otentic is to have the least possible environmental impact. At Otentic, we try to give a truly Mauritian experience to our guests. Our friendly staff, who all live nearby the lodge, will make sure that you discover their region, the east coast of Mauritius, probably the most beautiful coast of the island. Get a taste of the Mauritian way of life, our culinary habits, our diverse communities, traditions and religious beliefs while enhancing the natural environment and improving the livelihood of surrounding communities.

Green Sustainability

We generate solar energy through photovoltaic panels and we have solar water heaters for hot water. We grow our own vegetables and sort-out our waste. Our environmental footprint is close to nil.
